Data Rescue and Recovery

Your disk suddenly stopped showing up, you accidentally deleted a folder full of photos, or your laptop fell on the floor and Windows won’t boot anymore — and inside are years of pictures, documents and work. It’s the kind of situation that stresses anyone out, and it’s completely understandable why. This is what we do every day, and in most cases the data can be recovered — the important thing is not to damage the device further by trying things on your own.

The most common symptoms / when you need this

  • You accidentally deleted files or formatted the disk, then realized something important was on it
  • An external disk or USB drive won’t open, asks to be formatted, or clicks/buzzes
  • The computer doesn’t see the disk, or sees it but can’t open it
  • The SSD suddenly “vanished” from the BIOS or shows 0 GB
  • A memory card from a phone or camera shows an error
  • Windows keeps crashing, you get a blue screen or a “No bootable device” message
  • A partition disappeared after a reinstall or a power outage
  • You suspect a virus or ransomware that locked or hid your files

What exactly we do

First we make a safe copy (a clone) of the disk wherever that’s possible, so that we don’t touch the original again and don’t make things worse. Only then do we pull the data from the copy. We cover logical failures (deleted and lost files, damaged partitions, incorrect formatting, file system problems) as well as cases where the disk works poorly but can still be read. We handle HDDs, SSDs, NVMe drives, external disks, USB drives and memory cards. In cases of severe mechanical disk failure (damaged heads, scratched platters) we tell you honestly that this is a job for a lab with a clean room, so you don’t pay for something we technically can’t do properly.

How it works

Two options, whichever suits you. You can bring the device to one of our three locations in Belgrade — Arena, Piramida and Centar near the Botanical Garden. If it’s easier for you not to go out, a courier picks up the device and returns it as soon as it’s done.

Diagnostics are free if the device doesn’t need to be opened up — we examine the disk, see whether the data is readable and how much there is, and then let you know what can realistically be recovered. We only quote a price after the inspection, so we don’t guess blindly, and we don’t charge anything until we’ve agreed. Prices are in the price list. You can also track the status of the job online through status check.

Why choose us

  • Copy first, then work — we don’t experiment on your only copy of the data.
  • Experience — we’ve been doing repairs for years, we see cases like these all the time and we know where to look.
  • Transparent — we tell you up front what can be recovered, what can’t, and how much it costs. No surprises later.
  • Warranty on our work — we stand behind what we do.
  • Discretion — your files stay yours; we don’t snoop through them and we don’t keep them longer than necessary.

Frequently asked questions

Can data always be recovered?

Not always, and it wouldn’t be honest to say otherwise. With logical failures and deleted files the success rate is very high if the device is brought in right away and isn’t used further. With severely damaged disks it depends on the condition of the platters. That’s exactly why free diagnostics exist — so we can first assess what’s realistic, and only then get started.

I deleted files a couple of hours ago — what should I do?

Most important: stop using that disk and don’t install anything on it. Every new write can overwrite exactly what we want to recover. Turn the device off and bring it in as soon as possible — the fresher the case, the better the odds.

Can I recover photos from a damaged memory card or phone?

Often yes, especially when the card reports an error or “asks to be formatted” — those are usually logical problems. Bring in the card (or the phone), we’ll take a look and let you know what can be pulled off.

Having trouble with a disk or deleted files? Call 069 1303 111 so we can arrange pickup, take a look at the price list, and if the whole device is involved too — there’s also laptop repair and desktop repair.

Frequently asked questions

Can you recover data from a drive that isn't detected?
In a lot of cases, yes — it depends on whether the problem is logical (deleted files, a formatted drive, a damaged file system) or physical (the drive clicks, doesn't spin up). We start with an inspection to see what condition it's in, then tell you honestly what the chances are before we charge you anything.
How long does data recovery take?
Simpler cases (accidentally deleted or formatted files) are often done in a day or two. Heavier damage, especially physical damage, tends to take longer, because the scan has to run slowly so the drive doesn't get damaged further. We give you a realistic time estimate as soon as we see what we're dealing with.
Do I pay if the data can't be recovered?
The inspection and the assessment are free. We tell you the exact recovery price after the inspection, once we see how demanding the job is, and we don't start until you approve it. You can see ballpark prices in our price list.
What do I get at the end of the recovery?
We hand the recovered data over on a new medium — an external drive or a USB stick (yours or ours). Before you take it, we check together that the key files are there and that they open properly. We'd advise making a backup afterwards so the same thing doesn't happen again.
What should I do right away if I've accidentally deleted important files?
The most important thing — stop using that drive or memory card and don't save anything new onto it, because every write reduces the chances of recovery. The sooner you bring the device to one of our shops or call a courier to pick it up, the better the odds we get everything back.
