When your laptop dies, the first question is always the same: how much will it cost and how long will it take. Honestly — the price depends on the fault and the model, so no serious repair shop can give you an exact figure “blind”, over the phone, before seeing the device. That’s why we start with a free diagnosis, and only then a price — before we touch anything.
Why the price depends on the fault
The same symptom can have different causes. “The laptop shuts down” may be dust and overheating (cheap) or a faulty power circuit on the motherboard (pricier). “Won’t turn on” can be the charger, or the motherboard. That’s what diagnostics are for — so you don’t pay for guesswork.
What affects the price
- Type of fault — a software problem (viruses, Windows) is usually cheaper than replacing a component.
- The part being replaced — screen, battery, keyboard, power jack… part prices vary by model.
- Laptop model — parts for some models cost more and are harder to source.
You can see indicative prices for our services in the official price list. We always confirm the final price before any work — no surprises at the end.
How long a repair takes
Most common repairs (cleaning, SSD, RAM, battery, reinstall) are done the same or the next day. A screen replacement depends on whether we have the part in stock or have to order it. For more complex motherboard faults we give a realistic timeframe after the diagnosis.
